I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Weitze has created characters with elements that fantasy fans adore, but creates interesting twists. The protagonist doesn't instantly become a master swordsman and perfect hero. The author allows the reader to see the characters struggle and faults. This, in turn, allows the reader to become fully invested in the tale.So, if I like it so much why the 4?There are two problems that I've come across. First, though I see it less often the further along I am in the series, there are still quite a few editing mistakes. I'm not talking translation problems but quite a few instances where the first letter for words is incorrect. Errors that should easily be caught by the proofreader.Second, there are several times where I'm instantly brought back to reality because either the rules the author made for magic in this world are not consistent or it seems like they are forgotten for entire books and then brought back again. This tenancy makes it hard to fully immerse myself in the world.Despite this, I still recommend the series. The plot is original and refreshing and the characters unique.*this review was written on my cell and I couldn't go back through to proofread, please forgive errors* Like all the previous books, this one kept the reader glued to its pages. I cannot wait for the next book and to learn what happens to our ensemble group of heroes. This book is well worth reading and I can’t wait for it to be turned into an audio book so my non reader friends can share in the experience. I waited so long for this book that I reread the previous books in the series to be fresh with the story. They just as riveting the second or third time around as the first.
